Finish the Arms Race In-Class Essay

Finish Arms Race Essay
Remembering the Good Ol' Days of September 2014.
I realize this once "three-day in-class project" will have turned into over a week-long in-class and homework project. Please COMPLETE the following by Thursday:

1. Please review the original essay prompt and re-read your essay.

Impact of the Arms Race on the Cold War

To what extent did the arms race affect the development of the Cold War?

2. Make sure you have a solid essay based on last week's in-class work.

3. Double-check and ensure that you defined the "arms race" based on the timeline and chart that we went over in class Friday and on Monday (E block).

4. Finally, include a solid counterclaim to "Massive Retaliation" based on the notes I've shared with you entitled, "Arms Race Counterclaim Exercise" My notes are included on page 107 of the reading packet that I've shared with you in class.

5. If you have any questions regarding the above expectations, please e-mail me as I am stuck at home (like most of you) for most of Wednesday. If I don't hear from you I will expect compliance with all 4 expectations by Thursday!

Atomic Age Fun!

We'll Continue Studying the Arms Race's Impact on the Cold War During Class

There is NO homework, but look at the fun things you used to be able to buy, guns and comic books. Fun for all ages.

I'm sure one or two eyes were lost with the 25 missiles that gun shot.

Don't worry, ObamaCare should care for the injured.

Happy New Year, Beloved Stalin!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Beloved Stalin!
The above postcard certainly is a great example of the Cult of Personality in Stalin's Soviet Union.

Happy New Year - and by the way, the Commies want to remind the U.S. that they still lag behind in the Space Race.
